Welcome to my web page. My name is Jim Larsen and I’m a retired Civil Engineer living in beautiful Las Cruces, New Mexico.

I’ve been an avid golfer for the past 40 years and started working as a part time caddie in 2005.

I’ve caddied the past 17 years at various US Girls’ Jr ,US Women’s Amateur, LPGA and Epson Tour events. I’ve also volunteered as a scorer for Korn Ferry Tour events in Boise the past 20 years and several LPGA events.

I enjoy contributing to players decision-making including gauging conditions, club selection and green reading. I keep detailed statistical data as well as helping with the mental aspect of the game.

I’ve taken the USGA caddie training course. I’m available to work any events during the upcoming USGA/LPGA season. If you need an experienced caddie for a qualifying event, an amateur event or an LPGA event please email me at jim_lar@msn or text me at 208-283-3738.

I am eager and ready for some outdoor work. Let me help you take your game to the next level.

Jim was recently featured in this article for the US Girls’ Junior tournament held in Stevens Point, Wisconsin July 18-28, 2019.

An excerpt:

The 57-year-old Idaho native will be working his 10th U.S. Girls’ Junior and, by his count, “15th or 16th [overall] USGA championship.” Fourteen years ago, Larsen, a recently retired traffic engineer for the city of Boise, Idaho, answered a newspaper ad seeking caddies for the U.S. Girls’ Junior being held at BanBury Golf Course, a public venue in Eagle he had played numerous times.

Jim Larsen caddied for 2016 USA Curtis Cup competitor Bethany Wu in the 2016 U.S. Women’s Amateur, reaching the Round of 32.
